Ceiling
The structural element of a building that divides the space into floors, providing strength, acoustic and thermal insulation.
Every detail matters
Why is ceiling selection important?
The ceiling is a key structural element that provides stability and strength to the building, transferring loads from the upper floors to the load-bearing walls. Its proper thermal and acoustic insulation enhances the comfort of the home, protecting against noise and heat loss between floors.
A well-made ceiling minimizes the risk of cracking and deformation, which affects the durability of the entire structure. The ceiling also acts as a fire barrier, slowing the spread of fire between floors.
Our standards
We have created documents indicating to what standard we build houses. This gives you the assurance that every detail of your home will be perfectly done.
Type of ceiling
We base the choice of ceiling (monolithic, dense ribbed, prefabricated) on the span of the rooms and the expected load. We carefully select the floor system to ensure strength and acoustic comfort.
Acoustic and thermal insulation
We use insulating layers that effectively reduce sound transmission and maintain the right temperature, which affects the comfort of the rooms.
Load-bearing capacity and rigidity
When designing ceilings, we pay special attention to the load-bearing capacity and rigidity of the structure to avoid excessive deflections. In this way, we guarantee the stability and durability of the building.
Dilatation and expansion
We design ceilings with appropriate expansion joints that allow the natural expansion of materials, thus preventing cracks and deformation.
Technologies used
Ceiling cross-section
A layered structure that provides strength, sound and thermal insulation, and fire safety.

Concrete layer
It provides solidity and stability to the entire structure, effectively transferring loads from the upper floors to the load-bearing walls. Concrete in the ceiling also improves sound insulation, reducing noise between floors, and improves thermal insulation, helping to maintain optimal room temperatures.
Thanks to its properties, concrete in the ceiling contributes to the overall comfort and safety of the building.
Thermal insulation
It prevents heat loss between floors, increasing the energy efficiency of the building. The use of insulating materials, such as mineral wool, polystyrene or PIR panels, helps maintain an optimal internal temperature, which translates into lower heating and cooling costs.
With proper thermal insulation, the ceiling contributes to thermal comfort and energy savings throughout the building.
Waterproofing
Necessary to protect against moisture, preventing the ingress of water and its damaging effects. The use of high-quality waterproofing membranes or coatings protects the structure of the ceiling, prolonging its life and preventing mold and mildew. With effective waterproofing, the ceiling remains dry and safe, increasing the overall durability and health of the building.
Screed
A layer of concrete screed applied to the ceiling that provides an even and smooth surface for floor finishes. It performs a stabilizing function, evenly distributing loads and increasing the durability of the subfloor.
In addition, the screed can be used as an underlay for underfloor heating systems, which improves the thermal efficiency of rooms.
Floor
The final layer of flooring, which provides an aesthetically pleasing interior finish and a functional surface for daily use. It is installed on a concrete screed and can be made of various materials, such as tiles, wood, laminate or carpet, depending on aesthetic and functional requirements.
A well-made floor not only enhances the aesthetic value of the room, but also ensures durability and ease of cleaning.

Ceiling vs. too low concrete strength class
When building our dream house, we want everything to go according to plan. What if we use too low a strength class of concrete in our ceiling?
What do we pay attention to?
Type of ceiling
The choice of ceiling (monolithic, dense ribbed, prefabricated) depends on the span of the rooms and the expected load. The choice of ceiling affects the stability and rigidity of the structure.
Load bearing capacity of the structure
A key aspect is the proper calculation of the ceiling’s load-bearing capacity to withstand the anticipated payloads, which prevents excessive deflection and ensures safe use.
Sound insulation
The use of proper sound insulation reduces noise between floors and affects the comfort of the building.
Thermal insulation
Choosing the right insulation materials ensures that the right temperature is maintained, which contributes to energy efficiency and indoor thermal comfort.
Expansion joints of the ceiling
The use of expansion joints allows controlled expansion and contraction of materials under the influence of temperature, which prevents cracks in the ceiling.
Aesthetics and finishing
Attention is paid to the proper finish of the ceilings, which not only affects the aesthetics of the interior, but also protects the structure from external factors.
